Directions
Congregation Etz Chaim is located at 34 Bacon Street, Biddeford, Maine 04005
- Take the Biddeford Exit off the Maine Turnpike. At the light after the toll booths, turn left onto Route 111.
- In 1.3 miles, you will come to the Route 1 intersection. (Burger King straight ahead). Get in the right lane, but turn left at the light.
- You will come to another light right away, and you will turn right (You zig-zag across Route 111). You will still be on Route 111. Just keep going.
- In 1.1 miles, you will come to another light. Go straight through it. You’ll see the Biddeford Police Station on the right. Turn right after it onto Bacon Street.
- In four hundred feet, you’ll see Congregation Etz Chaim on the right. It is a white building with blue doors.
Parking
On-street parking in all areas of Biddeford is free. You may park on Main Street and any downtown side street without purchasing a parking permit. The block in front of our synagogue has no time limit on parking.
However, several streets in the downtown area do have either a four-hour parking or two hour parking time posted. Please take note of posted time limits before parking.
The Alfred Street Parking Lot (located next to the Police Department) is managed by Premium Parking. Pay by credit card in the parking kiosk ($2/hour). Kiosk transactions are digitally transmitted to parking enforcement officers to prove that you have paid to park; there is no need to return to your car to display a ticket or receipt.
