Recipe for Passover – Chocolate Macaroons

Chocolate Macaroons
2 egg whites
1 cup sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 square baker’s chocolate, melted
7 oz. coconut
Preheat oven to 325 F
Beat egg whites, add sugar slowly until peaks form.
Add salt and vanilla.
Fold in warm chocolate and coconut.
Spoon onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
(Mimi actually used brown paper bags)
Bake 12 -15 minutes.
Cool before removing from cookie sheet.
