The primary goal of the York County Community Hebrew School is to teach Hebrew and Jewish studies to children in York  County. We are committed to providing a local school community that fosters an excitement for learning and a positive Jewish Identity for each child.  Hebrew School is offered to students in Kindergarden and last through Bar/Bat Mitzvah years.

Confirmation Class (aka “The Teen Class”)

After the Bar/Bat Mitzvah, teenagers meet weekly for up to 3 years to participate in confirmation study and discussion.  Topics include The Holocaust, Israeli Defense, Personal Responsibility, Diaspora, and Yiddish/Jewish Culture and Cinema.  Every year, students are invited on a weekend trip to NYC to take in Jewish cultural sites (and a Broadway show.)  Check out the most recent slideshow – looks like a fun time!
