Come Join us for an evening
with Rebecca Comerford, Opera Singer
and Company Director of the Ojai Youth Opera Company.

Congregation Etz Chaim invites you to join us, July 6th, 2017, for an evening with Rebecca Comerford, opera singer and co-founder of the Ojai Youth Opera Company. Comerford’s Ojai Youth Opera Company recently performed Brundibar, an opera written and performed by Jewish children at the Terezin Concentration Camp during World War II. Written in 1938 by Jewish Czech composer, Hans Krasa, Brundibar carries a message of hope and acceptance that resonates today. Rebecca Comerford will provide a history of Brundibar, describe her experience bringing the opera to life as well as perform.
